Artist's Comments
This is my fathers 1969 GTO Pontiac, going out to drag race. I was his pit crew that day, so I stood behind the staging lines and took pictures. I think this one is particularly magnificent, in my egotistical manner.
The sun is a bit much, but i think it makes the picture. The day wasn't that musty, or yellow, but the way the picture has come out, I think it captures the day wonderfully.... and my dads beautiful GTO!!! (for all those who don't know, "Goat" is an affectionate nick name for this model of GTO) |
